Last week, the super readers of K-112 celebrated the end of our reading super powers unit. We have activated all of our reading super powers and we can now defeat any tricky word that stands in our way! Ask us about our powers – picture power, sound power, pointer power, partner power, and many others. We are super readers!
We had so much fun playing our holiday learning centers, dancing with our friends, and doing a gingerbread craft with our families!
I wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season!
K-105 visited the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space museum. We learned about what it was like to live in space, met astronaut Scott Kelly and visited the planetarium. We learned about life in space, observed constellations in the planetarium and made our own constellations.
The first graders had a special treat this week. K-110 came to visit our class and shared all that they learned about reading with us. Each kindergarten student got to partner read with a first grader. They supported each other and worked together to read each other’s books. They had a great time celebrating all of their hard reading work!
We had such a great time at our costume parade and reading celebration! Thank you to everyone who participated. We enjoyed marching in the parade, showing off our best character voices, and creating story puppets with you!
