Mother’s day is a time when we celebrate the woman whom have taken care of us and taught us right from  wrong. She has taught us to say Please and Thank you and has given countless hugs and kisses.

However, who’s to say that it shouldn’t be celebrated by the unrecognized female figures in our lives. Our Grandmother’s, Aunts, Sisters and Friends. This event was to honor all our Delta moms as well as the unspoken hero’s who step into the mom role in a heartbeat. We thank you all for being a part of the Bronx Delta Family and Happy Mother’s Day.

Fun Friday at Delta

Today was a jam packed day,  We began with a great way to teach our Bronx Delta students a bit about charity and dancing for fun and exercise. Our 2nd annual Bronx Delta Dance a thon was held in the gym and was full of awesome music and plenty of energetic dancers . The purpose for the Dance a thon was to raise funds for our American Cancer Society Relay for Life event. Through our Bronx Delta team as well as our supportive Delta families . We have raised hundreds of dollars for this amazing cause.

We also held our 2nd annual spring craft and egg hunt event . Each craft was an educational based craft ,which was grade appropriate. They ranged from coloring pages of the life cycle of the butterfly to the ever curious life cycle of chickens. Each student was allowed to chose a plastic egg filled with a small toy surprise as well as a sugar free lollipop as a treat.

Needless to say Fun Friday was a blast for all.
